Celebrity chef Poppy O’Toole made her return to Saturday Kitchen<\/a> following the birth of her daughter, receiving a warm welcome from presenter Matt Tebbutt.<\/p>\n

The chef, who is a regular on the BBC<\/a> show, welcomed her baby girl towards the end of last year. She was greeted with congratulations as the programme began on Saturday morning (January 24), reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Host Matt, who recently apologised after a gaffe on BBC Breakfast<\/a>, remarked: “Now, Poppy, good to have you back. You always deliver brilliant food. Recently, you delivered a baby. Congratulations, Poppy!”<\/p>\n

The chef responded: “Thank you very much. She’s watching at home. In the hotel room.”<\/p>\n

Matt couldn’t resist a light-hearted joke, quipping: “Staring at lights. That age, isn’t it? Looking at lights!”<\/p>\n

Poppy, a TikTok sensation and author of The Potato Book, shared the happy news with followers in December that she and her husband, Tom Shattock, had become parents.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram, she shared heartwarming photographs of her cradling her newborn beside a Christmas<\/a> tree as she told fans: “The baby potato arrived last week, and she is doing amazingly. Thanks for all the love and messages.”<\/p>\n

Poppy is known as the ‘Potato Queen’, so fans playfully suggested potato-inspired names such as Dauphinoise and Duchesse for her little one. However, the couple have yet to disclose their daughter’s actual name.<\/p>\n

Following her announcement before Christmas, well-wishers flooded social media with messages of support, with one fan commenting on Instagram: “Congratulations, guys, she might be the best potato you’ve ever cooked.”<\/p>\n

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay also joined in the congratulations, commenting: “Congratulations to you both, sending lots of love from all the Ramsays.”<\/p>\n
