Prince William<\/a> choses not to wear his wedding ring for personal reasons, it has previously been noted. William, 43, and Princess Catherine, 44, will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary on April 29, with Buckingham Palace sharing that he would not be wearing a wedding ring prior to their wedding day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As well as having never worn a ring, it is thought that William never received one on their wedding day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Mirror<\/a> previously reported that a ring has never been a \u201cpreference\u201d of his.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A Palace insider revealed in 2011: “He\u2019s not one for jewellery. He\u2019s never worn any. He decided he didn\u2019t want to wear one now. It\u2019s all down to personal preference.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cCatherine will wear a ring fashioned from a lump of Welsh gold owned by the Royal Family that has been smelted down. The couple have both had a hand in the design.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis is the ring Prince Harry<\/a> will carry and hand over in the traditional way.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

William appeared to follow in the late Prince Philip’s footsteps by not wearing a ring, as well as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Prior to their wedding, Kensington Palace said in a statement: “Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have chosen Cleave and Company to make their Wedding rings… Prince Harry’s ring will be platinum band with a textured finish. Both rings were crafted in the Cleave workshop.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
