It is claimed\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a> and actor and former Gavin and Stacey actor, James Corden<\/a>, did not get off to the best start with a disagreement over a jibe – but later a very special friendship between the two developed. Back in 2011, Prince Harry was reportedly having pre-Christmas drinks at a private members club.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He was in central London with David Beckham<\/a> and producer Ben Winston, before they were joined by James Corden, who was starring in the West End’s ‘One Man, Two Guvnors’.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n According to the Daily Mail’s showbiz editor<\/a> at the time, Katie Hind, she wrote: “He promised he would be at the party as soon as he came off stage. He duly arrived much later after his pals had been drinking for several hours.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She describes the drinking group as “pretty large” with a mixture of Harry, James, and David’s friends, before it “all kicked off” and left Corden “absolutely raging”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The outlet reported: “Then it all kicked off, James was furious. It quickly emerged that Harry had told a joke and James definitely did not find it funny.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n After a comment was made, chosen to be undisclosed by the paper, the Daily Mail explains Beckham acted as a peacemaker and “talked to both sides and reassured Corden that no harm was meant by the cruel comment.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Mail<\/a> reports: “While Corden\u2019s upset at the jibe was clear for all present to see, the secret row led to a very happy ending. As a result of the furore, a bromance was formed between the ever impressive networker Corden and Prince Harry<\/a>.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Their friendship later blossomed, with Corden reportedly having hosting duties at Meghan and Harry\u2019s 2018 wedding reception at Frogmore Cottage and Prince Harry<\/a> even appeared on Corden’s The Late Late Show in 2021<\/a>, shortly after stepping down from royal duties in 2020 and leaving the UK.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
