While it is not known whether Queen Camilla<\/a> is a fan of the Spice Girls, it is believed that one of the girl band members is certainly a fan of her. On Wednesday, Her Majesty stepped out in Gloucestershire<\/a> to visit Maggie\u2019s Cheltenham centre – a centre that helps people affected by cancer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This is because former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner joined Her Majesty at the centre to learn more about its work and the impact the charity has on people. Geri, as a supporter of the charity, was invited by Her Majesty to the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Talking about her view on Queen Camilla afterwards, Geri said: \u201cI am such a big fan of the Queen, I think she is amazing, she is stoic, she is fantastic \u2013 a formidable force of nature.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Queen has visited 18 of Maggie\u2019s 27 centres, with the first one having opened in\u00a0the grounds of the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh in 1996.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The centres offer care for people who have been impacted by cancer, including free psychological, emotional and practical support.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the event, Her Majesty gave a speech praising the work<\/a> the centres do and the impact they have on people who are undergoing cancer treatment. In the speech, Camilla praised the late Maggie Keswick Jencks, who founded the charity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She said: \u201cMaggie was convinced that people living with cancer crave a beautiful, comforting environment as they face the unknown.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cA place where they need not pretend to be fine, where they can receive expert support, sympathy and a cup of tea \u2013 and where laughter can come as naturally as tears, because sometimes that\u2019s what\u2019s wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The visit was especially poignant for Camilla, whose husband King Charles has been undergoing cancer treatment for around two years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
