Chris Pratt<\/a> recently told Entertainment Weekly<\/a> that he suggested an AI \u201cactor\u201d play the tyrannical AI judge in his new sci-fi thriller \u201cMercy<\/a>.\u201d However, the idea was quickly shut down by the production, and Rebecca Ferguson<\/a> was cast in the role.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember talking about the various people who could play these characters, and early on, I was like, \u2018Should we have it be an AI, where the judge is actually AI, and we create an AI?\u2019 And everyone was like, \u2018No, I don\u2019t think so,’\u201d Pratt<\/a> said. \u201cI was like, \u2018Yeah, I don\u2019t think that\u2019s a good idea at all.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cSo it was actually never a possibility any more than anything is a possibility when you\u2019re zeroing in on what the outcome is going to be and what the choices are that you\u2019re going to make. It\u2019s a collaborative effort.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
