Riley Green<\/a><\/strong> fans likely have new music to look forward to this year, with the country star revealing that he has plenty of songs ready to go for his next album. Speaking to Holler<\/em><\/a>, Green shared that he has \u201cprobably 17 to 20 songs right now that I\u2019m ready to put on another record.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a really cool time to have so many eyes and ears on you,\u201d he added, referencing the new wave of success he\u2019s experienced since his smash duet with Ella Langley<\/a>, \u201cyou look like you love me.\u201d That song arrived around one year before Green\u2019s most recent album, Don\u2019t Mind If I Do<\/em>, which continued his hot streak with hits like the title track, another chart-topping Langley collaboration, and \u201cWorst Way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI never really stopped writing,\u201d Green revealed of his creative process in between projects. \u201cFor me, it\u2019s not like you have an album like Don\u2019t Mind If I Do<\/em> that does well, and you go, \u2018Okay, I can relax.\u2019 It\u2019s more the opposite. Things are going really well, and I want to go write more songs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Green has never been one to take much of a pause between releasing new songs, explaining that he\u2019s simply so excited when he creates something new that he wants to share with fans as soon as he can. \u201cMan, I think I\u2019m in a place where \u2013 and I\u2019ve always done this \u2013 when I write a song, I\u2019m excited about it, and I want to share it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old singer\/songwriter continued, \u201cOften, I put the whole song out there. Sometimes it may just be a little clip, but for me, it\u2019s just [making the most of it] while people are listening \u2013 and my audience has never been bigger than it is right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Green shipped his latest single, \u201cChange My Mind<\/a>,\u201d to country radio earlier this month. As for any new material that might arrive this year, the singer said that he doesn\u2019t feel pressure to recreate the success of previous songs, but instead feels \u201cmotivation to try something a little different.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a songwriter, I\u2019ve certainly got my lane, and it\u2019s a pretty obvious there\u2019s a theme that I like to write from,\u201d he said, though he noted that he still wants to explore new areas as time goes on. \u201cI think to continue to have a career that grows, you\u2019ve got to push the envelope a little bit, push your comfort zone and get outside the box a little bit,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a fine line to stay true to yourself, and to be able to do something a little different. So \u2018Worst Way\u2019 was my attempt at that, and it certainly worked pretty well for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I think that I\u2019ll always try to find that place and write from that place,\u201d Green added. \u201cHopefully my next album will be similar to this one.\u201d<\/p>\n
