Every Monday at 6:30 p.m., Lego enthusiasts gather at Working Draft Beer Co. at 1129 E. Wilson St. for a family friendly night of creativity with Lego bricks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Timothy Soyer, a staffer who has been with Working Draft nearly since it opened in 2018, said the event began about two years ago after the brewery\u2019s owners approached Dan Jacobsohn of Bricks & Minifigs in Fitchburg about a potential partnership. Jacobsohn donated assorted Lego bricks for the weekly event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lego Night features a free-to-play building competition with three themed rounds. Participants have 20 minutes in each round to create a build that matches the prompt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each round is followed by a 10-minute break, giving everyone time to look over all the creations and cast a vote. Each player receives one voting chip per round.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The creation with the most voting chips at the end of the break wins, and the builder or team behind it receives a $10 coupon for Working Draft Beer Company.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some people come with families, ranging from toddlers to 60 years old. Some bring dates. Rounds include prompts like \u201cThings that Fly,\u201d \u201cThings that Swim\u201d and \u201cThings that Climb.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Groups that did not win a round in previous weeks are invited to help choose the theme for upcoming Lego Nights. The public can also weigh in, voting each Sunday on Working Draft\u2019s Instagram story to select the first category of the night.<\/span><\/p>\n
