What began as a single experimental venue in the desert has grown into one of Las Vegas<\/strong>\u2019s most unconventional\u2014and genuinely cool\u2014places to explore. Now more than five years old, AREA15 <\/strong>is heading into 2026 with a wave of new attractions, from a John Wick Experience<\/strong> and a Malibu Barbie caf\u00e9 pop-up<\/strong> to Universal Horror Unleashed<\/strong> and what\u2019s being billed as the largest-ever Museum of Ice Cream<\/strong>.<\/p>\n AREA15 opened in September 2020 as a 200,000-square-foot attraction space and has since exploded into a 40-acre campus blending immersive art, ticketed virtual-reality experiences, nightlife, food and drink and large-scale events.<\/p>\n Over the past five years, the destination has welcomed more than 15 million visitors and now hosts hundreds of public events and private bookings annually, positioning itself less like a traditional theme park and more like an ever-changing entertainment playground.<\/p>\n \u201cArea15 is designed to surprise people every time they walk through the door,\u201d\u00a0Winston Fisher<\/strong>, chief executive officer of Area15<\/strong>told Blooloop<\/a>. “With a brand-new mix of new restaurants, retail flagships and breakthrough attractions now signed, we\u2019re continuing to create an entertainment district appealing to families, food lovers, thrill-seekers and culture explorers alike.”<\/p>\n Related: One of NYC’s Most Beloved Art Museums Will Reopen After Nearly Two Years\u2014At Twice the Size<\/a><\/p>\n Designed around exploration, AREA15 encourages guests to wander freely between attractions, installations, bars and performance spaces. Among the most high-profile additions is Universal Horror Unleashed<\/strong>, the first-ever year-round horror experience from Universal Destinations & Experiences<\/strong>, featuring multiple haunted houses<\/a>, themed entertainment areas and horror-inspired food and drinks.<\/p>\n AREA15 has aslo introduced Malibu Barbie Caf\u00e9<\/strong>, a limited-time pop-up inspired by the iconic doll, alongside game-show-style attractions like The Great Big Game Show<\/strong> and interactive experiences such as The Escape Game<\/strong>. Additional tenants include competitive socialising venues, new bars and rotating pop-ups that keep the lineup in constant flux.<\/p>\n Newer openings include the John Wick Experience<\/strong>, an interactive walkthrough inspired by the film franchise that drops visitors into a stylized underworld of shifting alliances and high-stakes decisions, and Interstellar Arc<\/strong>, a mixed-reality experience from Felix & Paul Studios that blends cinematic visuals with participatory storytelling set in deep space.<\/p>\n Looking ahead, even larger projects are on the way. Through 2026, AREA15 plans to unveil a reimagined suspended Boeing 747 <\/strong>transformed into a multi-use event venue, and open what\u2019s being billed as the largest-ever Museum of Ice Cream<\/strong>, featuring interactive dessert spaces, themed environments and new concepts exclusive to the Las Vegas location. New restaurants, retail tenants and additional attractions are also scheduled to open across the district.<\/p>\n Five years in, AREA15 remains intentionally hard to define\u2014and that fluidity is part of its appeal.
