Witney Carson<\/a> is speaking out about being “shamed” by a flight attendant on a 13-hour flight after a fellow passenger requested her 2-year-old son be quiet.<\/p>\nIn a series of posts shared to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, Jan. 25, the DWTS <\/em>pro, 32, got candid about the difficulties she faced on her flight back to the U.S. from Australia \u2014 where she, husband Carson McAllister<\/a>, and sons\u00a0Kevin<\/a>, 5, and\u00a0Jet<\/a>, 2, visited her Mirrorball-winning parter, Robert Irwin<\/a>.<\/p>\n\u201cQuestion for you guys, and be honest \u2014 is it appropriate to ask for a child to be quiet for the entire 13-hour flight?\u201d she posted. \u201cJet was playing and giggling with me and we were asked to be quiet because a man up in front said he was trying to rest.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI totally get if there needs to be a certain time where we need to sleep, but it\u2019s in the middle of the day. In another post, she detailed how a flight attendant \u201ckept shushing Jet,\u201d prompting her to speak up in defense of her son.<\/p>\n
\u201cI got up and asked [the flight attendant] if there were certain times on the flight we needed to be quiet and we\u2019d respect that,\u201d Carson wrote. \u201cIf not, I don\u2019t expect my children to sit quietly for 13 hours. OK, bye, I\u2019m done.\u201d<\/p>\n
One additional follow-up saw the mom-of-two express her gratitude for the support she received from fans.<\/p>\n
