Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was photographed driving in Windsor today wearing a Grenadier Guards jumper<\/a> as he prepares to move out of Royal Lodge.<\/p>\n

The former Duke of York was behind the wheel of a Range Rover wearing the purple sweatshirt featuring the infantry regiment’s cypher as he drove near the Long Walk.<\/p>\n

Andrew used to be Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, but this was one of the military titles he lost when they were returned to Queen Elizabeth II<\/a> in January 2022.<\/p>\n

He was stripped of his honorary affiliations with the armed forces after calls from 150 veterans for the then-monarch to remove his eight British military appointments.<\/p>\n

The role with one of the British Army’s oldest regiments was vacant until December that year when Queen Camilla<\/a> took it on, three months after Elizabeth II’s death.<\/p>\n

Andrew \u2013 who will move to Norfolk in the coming days – had held the appointment for just over four years, having taken it on from Prince Philip<\/a> in December 2017.<\/p>\n

As Andrew’s deadline to leave Royal Lodge looms, his remaining friends are said to be increasingly worried about the ‘fragile’ state of him and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pair, shamed by their association with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, face an uncertain future as they leave the rent-free property in Windsor this Friday.<\/p>\n

Andrew’s pariah status was seemingly confirmed last week by news that Princess Eugenie has cut off all contact with him in the wake of the Epstein scandal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He is preparing to move to Norfolk within the next week – although his eventual home on the Sandringham estate, Marsh Farm, is still being worked on by builders.<\/p>\n

Andrew is expected to live in Sandringham House until Marsh Farm is ready around Easter \u2013 while his current staff employed at Royal Lodge are being made redundant.<\/p>\n

Andrew reportedly wanted to live at Wood Farm on Sandringham, but there were allegedly concerns that would leave him too close to the rest of the Royal Family.<\/p>\n

The disgraced former duke was forced to give up Royal Lodge after an outcry when it emerged he had been paying a peppercorn rent for the property.<\/p>\n

A 6ft wooden fence has been put up around a section of Marsh Farm in Wolferton, where the hedge is thin, while a digger has been working in the grounds.<\/p>\n

The property has been empty for several years and is being renovated to make it habitable before Andrew is expected to move there.<\/p>\n

Marsh Farm is around two miles from the King’s Sandringham House.<\/p>\n

The former prince was stripped of his remaining titles last year after the posthumous release of Virginia Giuffre’s book Nobody’s Girl.<\/p>\n

The memoir, which gives her account of being trafficked by Epstein, includes allegations against a number of other individuals including Andrew.<\/p>\n

The book details previous claims that she was forced to have sex with the former prince on three occasions, including when she was 17.<\/p>\n

Andrew vehemently denies the allegations.<\/p>\n

He paid millions to Ms Giuffre to settle a civil sexual assault case, despite claiming never to have met her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
