More details can be found at <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"Link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.fmsymphony.org\/smallstages\" target=\"_blank\" data-cms-ai=\"0\">https:\/\/www.fmsymphony.org\/smallstages<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Capped at 45 attendees, \u201cAn Evening in the Victorian Era\u201d is an excellent way to explore history and enjoy classical music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach performance creates a close, personal musical experience that highlights both the artistry of our musicians and the charm of the unique local venues we\u2019ve partnered with,\u201d Wood said. \u201cIt\u2019s a great refresh to the chamber music experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For \u201cAn Evening in the Victorian Era,\u201d Wood said they hope the event resonates with community members looking for plenty of unique creative engagement.<\/p>\n<p>The concert not only includes Victorian-era music, hors d\u2019oeuvres and drinks, but audience members are invited to dress in their own period costumes of the time, though it\u2019s not mandatory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCome as you\u2019re comfortable,\u201d Wood said.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place at Fine Arts Club, 601 Fourth St. S., Fargo, the concert is truly set to scene in a building dedicated to the preservation of early American culture. Wood added that it\u2019s important to FMSO\u2019s mission to seek community collaboration and high-quality engagement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPartnering with smaller spaces allows our audiences and musicians to be physically closer, heightening the experience of live performance,\u201d he said. \u201cAlso, it brings the public to locations they might not otherwise experience to enjoy inspiring performances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ensemble<b> <\/b>assembled for \u201cAn Evening in the Victorian Era\u201d includes some recognizable<b> <\/b>orchestra musicians, including flutists Deb Harris and Jenny Poehls, cellist Elise Buffat Nelson and pianist Amy Mercer.<\/p>\n<p>Musicians will highlight three prominent female composers of the time: Mel Bonis, Louise Ferrenc and Amy Beach. The concert will also include music by Elgar, Tchaikovsky and others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe concert promises to be a charming mix of sentimental pieces, dramatic pieces and fun pieces,\u201d Wood said.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets to the 21+ event are limited to 60 attendees and include hors d\u2019oeuvres, two beverages and plenty of connection.<\/p>\n<p>Like other FMSO performances, ticket sales support roughly 40 percent of the nonprofit symphony&#8217;s annual operating budget, according to Wood, describing them as \u201cvital for us in order to bring such talented local and regional musicians to featuring two major works of chamber music: Brahms\u2019 Clarinet Quintet Op. 115 and Mendelssohn\u2019s Octet Op. 20.<\/p>\n<p>The program brings together the local group Third Avenue String Quartet, a clarinet performance and additional string players to create what Wood describes as \u201ca rich, expressive afternoon of music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The venue is historically significant, too.<\/p>\n<div
