On Tuesday evening, Arijit took to his private account on X to share the news. This announcement comes just days after the release of his latest song, \u201cMaatrubhumi,\u201d from Salman Khan\u2019s upcoming film Battle of Galwan. He recently also sang the song \u201cHum Toh Tere Hi Liye The\u201d from O Romeo by Vishal Bhardwaj.<\/p>\n<p>Arijit wrote on X, \u201cHello, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noamphtml\" class=\"keywordtourl\" href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/about\/happy-new-year\/\">Happy New Year<\/a> to all. I want to thank you all for giving me so much of love all these years as listeners. I am happy to announce that I am not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey.\u201d He immediately followed up with another post, adding, \u201cGOD has been really kind to me. I am a fan of good music and in future will be learning more and do more on my own as a small little artist. He wrote: \u201cI still have to finish some pending commitments will finish them. So you might get some releases this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As fans speculated about the reasons behind his decision, Arijit offered insight: \u201cThere is not one reason behind this, there are several reasons plus I have been trying to do this since a long time. Finally I have gathered the right courage. One of the reasons were simple, I get bored pretty quick, that\u2019s why I keep changing arrangements of the same songs and perform them on stage. So here is the thing, I got bored. I wanna go back to making music. I wanna start again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sharing a glimpse of his future plans, he added: \u201cI will make my own music.
