Nearly four decades after the classic, Lionsgate<\/a> is moving forward with Dirty Dancing 2<\/a>, which is currently being penned by Dying for S-x<\/a> writer Kim Rosenstock<\/a> (via The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>). Nina Jacobson<\/a> and Brad Simpson<\/a>, the producers behind The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping<\/a>, will oversee the production of the follow-up to the 1987 movie, which featured Patrick Swayze<\/a> and Jennifer Grey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Grey will be reprising her iconic role of Frances Baby Houseman in the follow-up, and while Jonathan Levine<\/a> was previously attached to direct the sequel, his role will be confined to that of executive producer.<\/p>\n
