While his parents were across the Baltic Sea on the first day of
\ntheir state visit to Estonia, Crown Prince Christian served as
\nregent from his barracks in Slagelse and signed bills.<\/p>\n

The Danish Royal Court shared photos of the future king signing
\nbills that had recently been confirmed by the government. In his
\nrole as crown prince, Christian serves as the acting head-of-state
\nwhen his father is outside the kingdom.<\/p>\n

\nlieutenant\u2026took a break today between [military exercises]\u2026to, as
\nthe King\u2019s deputy, get cases ready for signature,\u201d<\/em> the Danish
\nRoyal Family\u2019s social media accounts shared<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nChristian has served as regent several times since his father\u2019s
\naccession two years ago, and it\u2019s his most high-profile role as
\nheir while he\u2019s still undergoing military training.<\/h5>\n

The Danish Royal Court announced earlier this month that Crown
\nPrince Christian will serve with the Royal Life Guards from June.
\nThe future king will serve as a platoon commander at the Royal Life
\nGuards Barracks in H\u00f8velte beginning in August.<\/p>\n

Currently, Crown Prince Christian is receiving lieutenancy
\ntraining in Slagelse with the Hussar Guards Regiment.
\nHe began the one-year programme last August<\/a> following
\na six-month initial training programme.<\/a> As part of his
\ntraining, he flew on one of the last F-16s used by the Royal Danish
\nAir Force and called it dream come true. \u201cI already had great
\nrespect for the pilots who fly our fighter jets, and after today,
\nit has only gotten bigger,\u201d<\/em> he wrote as a personal message on
\n
\na selfie shared from the skies.<\/a><\/p>\n
