\n By Molly Claire Goddard<\/span> \t\t\t\t\tDespite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle<\/strong>‘s decision to leave The Firm in 2020, royal author Christopher Andersen<\/strong> believes the Duke of Sussex misses the monarchy’s traditions. “Does it pain Harry to be pointedly excluded from times when the\u00a0royal family\u00a0gets together, like Christmas at Sandringham? Of course it does,” he told Us Weekly<\/a><\/em>. <\/div>\n \t\t\t\t\tAccording to Christopher Andersen, while Prince Harry is “content in California,” he also seems sad that “neither he nor his [two] children are sharing in their royal heritage.”<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tWhile Meghan Markle may be happy with their life away from England, Prince Harry wants to stay connected to his roots. “Harry has always said the door remains open to some sort of relationship with the royal family,” Christopher Andersen said. “Meghan’s focused on their life in Montecito, but he’s holding out hope that he can eventually\u00a0divide his time\u00a0between California and the U.K.”<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tOne element of royal life Prince Harry likely misses most is his army career. The father of two was stripped of his honorary\u00a0military titles after leaving England. “He’s all about structure, honor, and duty \u2014 things that are missing from his life in Montecito,” historian\u00a0Marlene Koenig<\/strong> told the publication. “Harry’s life was far more structured in the U.K.; he had responsibilities and official events to attend.” <\/p>\n
