Jack\u2019s decision to join Celebrity SAS was inspired by his father, an ex-army REME mechanic, and he\u2019s keen to prove his resilience and live up to those high expectations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think this is probably going to be the toughest week of my life,\u201d he admitted. \u201cMy dad was actually in the military, so he will not be happy if I make excuses, moan, or don\u2019t give it a hundred percent.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t think being in the military was ever an option for me \u2014 I\u2019m scared of everything: flying, confrontation, large crowds, claustrophobia, bugs, insects, spiders.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cI\u2019m hoping I can overcome those fears. I need a big challenge. If I manage to get through this, I think it would help a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n
But that wasn\u2019t his only motivation.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the main reason is that, over the past five years, I\u2019ve been living in a lot of comfort,\u201d Jack explained. \u201cWith what I do in this industry, it\u2019s quite an easy and comfortable job. It\u2019s my dream job and I\u2019m incredibly grateful for it, but I felt like I\u2019d been in that comfort zone for too long.<\/p>\n
\u201cI needed something to push me out of it. I tried a few different things, but when the call came for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, I knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There\u2019s nothing else where you get pushed to this extreme. It was perfect timing for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
