\n\tHours before turning 41 years old, J. Cole<\/a> released a four-pack of new freestyles hosted by DJ Clue<\/a> on Tuesday (Jan. 27). Packaged as the Birthday Blizzard \u201926<\/em>, the EP is available on Cole\u2019s website<\/a> for as little as $1.<\/p>\n \n\tThe surprise drop includes the \u201cBronx Zoo Freestyle,\u201d \u201cGolden Goose,\u201d \u201cWinter Storm\u201d and \u201c99 Build Freestyle.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tOne freestyle finds Cole effortlessly flowing over the classic Stevie J-produced instrumental to Diddy\u2019s <\/a>\u201cVictory\u201d featuring The Notorious B.I.G.<\/a> and Busta Rhymes. <\/a><\/p>\n \n\tOn another track, Cole appears to address his apology to Kendrick Lamar<\/a> and bowing out of a feud in April 2024 with the Compton legend. The Dreamville rapper initially dissed K. Dot on \u201c7 Minute Drill,\u201d <\/a>but ended up scrubbing the Might Delete Later<\/em> mixtape cut from streaming services and apologized to Lamar onstage at his Dreamville Festival.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI used to be top, see, the apology dropped me way out of the top three, no problem, I\u2019m probably my best when they doubt me,\u201d Cole raps. \u201cThe top ain\u2019t really what I thought it would be, so I jumped off and landed back at the bottom and restarted at a level where I wasn\u2019t regarded as much, just to climb past them again and tell them all to keep up.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBirthday Blizzard \u201926<\/em> serves as an appetizer for fans while setting the stage for Cole\u2019s anticipated The Fall-Off <\/a><\/em>album, which is set to arrive on Feb. 6. <\/p>\n \n\tWhen announcing the LP earlier in January, Cole released an accompanying \u201cDisc 2 Track 2\u201d single<\/a>, which found him shrewdly rapping his life\u2019s story in reverse. <\/p>\n \n\tJ.
