Neil Young<\/a> really, really hates Jeff Bezos<\/a> and Amazon<\/a> \u2014 and it looks like that\u2019s going to benefit music lovers in Greenland.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Back in October, the rock legend removed his music from the platform,<\/a> but took things to another level this past weekend.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n On Tuesday, he posted a message on his website<\/a> declaring that he\u2019s \u201chonored to give a free year\u2019s access to NeilYoungArchives.com\u201d to Greenland\u2019s 56,500 residents.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI hope my Music and Music Films will ease some of the unwarranted stress and threats you are experiencing from our unpopular and hopefully temporary government,\u201d he added. <\/span>\u201cIt is my sincere wish for you to be able to enjoy all of my music in your beautiful Greenland home, in its highest quality.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The 80-year-old Young said the recordings in the archives go back 62 years and promised Greenlanders, \u201cYou can renew for free as long as you are in Greenland,\u201d while adding that he hopes other organizations \u201cfollow in the spirit of our example.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The gift to Greenland comes a few days after Young went scorched-earth on Amazon<\/a> and its head honcho, Bezos, with another post headlined, \u201cWhy I Don\u2019t Use Amazon.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The angry post began by noting that Bezos is \u201ca billionaire backer\u201d of President Donald Trump<\/a> before stating that <\/span>Trump\u2019s \u201ci<\/span>nternational policies\u201d and \u201csupport of ICE\u201d make it \u201cimpossible for me to ignore his actions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The musician then strongly recommended to fans who \u201cfeel as I do\u201d that \u201cyou do not use Amazon,\u201d and suggested they either purchase his music at record stores or alternative digital sources.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cMy music will never be available on Amazon, as long as it is owned by Bezos,\u201d he said. \u201cMy position is unfortunately harmful to my record company in the short term but I think the message I am sending is important and clear.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Young has been speaking his mind a lot recently.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Earlier this month, Young wrote on his website, <\/a>\u201cWake up people!
