Stage Entertainment Spain has announced El alma al aire<\/em>, a new musical developed from the songs of Alejandro Sanz and the first project created entirely by the company in Spain.<\/p>\n The musical theatre producer behind shows including Anastasia <\/em>and Tina\u00a0\u2013 The Tina Turner Musical<\/em> and the mainland European premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein\u2019s Cinderella<\/em> confirmed that the production is currently in pre-production and will premiere in Madrid. The project is being created with the support of Sanz.<\/p>\n El alma al aire<\/em> will feature a book by \u00c1lvaro Tato, a two-time Max Award winner, and draw on songs from across Sanz\u2019s career. The story is set in a fishing village and follows characters from different generations as they face decisions that affect the course of their lives.<\/p>\n Founded in 1998, Stage Entertainment is a European theatre production company specialising in musical theatre. It both owns and operates 16 theatres and produces international titles, including The Lion King<\/em>, Aladdin<\/em> and Moulin Rouge!
