Kneecap<\/a> have announced a new album,\u00a0Fenian,<\/em> out on April 24th via Heavenly Recordings. They\u2019ve also revealed the new song \u201cLiars Tale.\u201d<\/p>\n Fenian<\/em> serves as Kneecap\u2019s third studio album and arrives as a response to their critics and controversy over the last year, particularly at the hands of British government. Produced by Dan Carey, the record will feature Kneecap\u2019s signature high-energy, rave-heavy sound, with rapping in a mix of Irish and English.<\/p>\n \u201cThey tried to stop us by branding Kneecap \u2018terrorists\u2019, with cancellations, with statements from the Prime Minister himself,\u201d said Kneecap\u2019s Mo Chara, M\u00f3gla\u00ed Bap, and DJ Pr\u00f3va in a statement. \u201cWe had all the motivation we needed\u2026this isn\u2019t a swift reaction, but a considered response to those that tried to silence us. The Paddies are back.\u201d<\/p>\n To preview\u00a0Fenian<\/em>, Kneecap have revealed the thumping \u201cLiars Tale.\u201d With strobing synths and furious bars in Irish and English from Mo Chara and M\u00f3gla\u00ed Bap, \u201cLiars Tale\u201d is yet another visceral rave punk moment for the Irish trio. Throughout, they take aim at British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, skewering his attempts at silencing the group\u2019s impassioned calls for an end to genocide, war, apartheid, and oppression. \u201cStarmer is a scumbag, don\u2019t accept it,\u201d the group said of \u201cLiars Tale.\u201d \u201cThere\u2019s no good in their politics and the belly of the beast is feeding overseas.\u201d Stream the new track below.<\/p>\n Kneecap\u2019s last album was 2024\u2019s\u00a0Fine Art<\/em><\/a>, which arrived alongside a separate biographical film depicting the group\u2019s origins, philosophy, and rise in popularity. The trio made headlines last year as they toured in support of\u00a0Fine Art<\/em>, stoking controversy after promoting messages at Coachella and Glastonbury criticizing Israel\u2019s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.<\/p>\n The British government also attempted to charge Mo Chara with a terror offense<\/a>, citing alleged support for Hamas and Hezbollah at a November 2024 concert; the charges, which were later dropped<\/a> in September 2025, led to Kneecap having to cancel their North American tour<\/a>. Throughout the last year, the trio unveiled new songs \u201cThe Recap,\u201d<\/a> \u201cSay\u014dnara,\u201d<\/a> and recent cut \u201cNo Comment,\u201d none of which will appear on Fenian<\/em>.<\/p>\n
