Actors including Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Kenneth Branagh, Dame Judi Dench and Stanley Tucci were among 222 guests at Windsor Castle on Wednesday to view\u00a0a new Prime Video documentary about Charles\u2019s environmentalism.<\/p>\n

Musicians Sir Rod Stewart and Jools Holland plus Oscar-winner Kate Winslet \u2013 who narrates the documentary, Finding Harmony: A King\u2019s Vision \u2013 were also at the screening.<\/p>\n

The film follows Charles as he reflects on the importance of harmony between humanity, nature and the environment, encouraging audiences to see ourselves as part of nature rather than apart from nature.<\/p>\n

Charles states he \u201cwasn\u2019t going to be diverted\u201d from his environmental campaigning, despite the criticism he faced over the decades.<\/p>\n

Winslet described the documentary as a \u201cspecial\u201d and \u201cimportant\u201d work as she lifted the curtain on the event.<\/p>\n

She gave some insight into Charles\u2019s Harmony theory, telling guests before the viewing:\u00a0\u201cHarmony is a beautiful theory that invites us to see ourselves as a part of nature \u2013 not apart from it \u2013 and to tackle the world\u2019s climate challenges using an interconnected, nature-first approach.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are about to see just how this theory has already been put into practice around the world, in so many inspirational ways, across a multitude of different cultures and sometimes for centuries.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film took six months to complete but has been \u201ca lifetime in the making\u201d for Charles.<\/p>\n

She also spoke of his \u201cpassionate approach towards promoting the positive change \u201d he hopes to see across the globe.<\/p>\n

Queen Camilla, the Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also in the audience.<\/p>\n

In the 90-minute film made in collaboration with his charity The King\u2019s Foundation for Amazon MGM Studios, the King says that the situation is \u201crapidly going backwards\u201d with mankind \u201cactually destroying our means to survival\u201d.<\/p>\n

But he expresses his hope \u201cby the time I shuffle off this mortal coil\u201d that there might be more awareness of the \u201cneed to bring things back together again\u201d.<\/p>\n

Charles is seen collecting eggs from his chickens at their \u201cCluckingham Palace\u201d coop on his Highgrove estate, and reveals his love of a crispy baked potato, declaring that \u201cred Duke of Yorks\u201d are the best variety for this.<\/p>\n

The documentary, which is being released on the streaming giant next month, describes how Charles, as Prince of Wales, emerged as a key figure on the environment over the years, making regular keynote speeches, despite \u201ccries from some that he should take a back seat\u201d, Winslet said.<\/p>\n

Charles, in new footage, says: \u201cI just felt this was the approach that I was going to stick to. A course I set and I wasn\u2019t going to be diverted from.\u201d<\/p>\n

After an academic comments that the world is not on the \u201ctrajectory\u201d needed to limit the worst effects of climate change, Charles remarks: \u201cIt\u2019s rapidly going backwards, I\u2019ve said that for the last 40 years, but anyway, there we are\u2026 I can only do what I can do, which is not very much \u2013 anyway.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople don\u2019t seem to understand it\u2019s not just climate that\u2019s the problem, it\u2019s also biodiversity loss, so we\u2019re actually destroying our means of survival, all the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo put that back together again is possible, but we should have been doing it long ago. We\u2019ve got to do it as fast as we can now.\u201d<\/p>\n

He adds: \u201cMaybe, by the time I shuffle off this mortal coil, there might be a little more awareness\u2026 of the need to bring things back together again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Winslet, meanwhile, says: \u201cWhile explaining his passion for organic gardening to the press, Prince Charles made a comment that has haunted him ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n

Archive footage of him describing how he talks to plants is included in the film.<\/p>\n

Ian Skelly, co-author of the King\u2019s 2010 Harmony book, said: \u201cThose criticisms really upset him. He got treated very unfairly, seen very unfairly, and those of us that knew him better were quite upset by that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was difficult to know how to respond, but I really felt for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the King said the film was \u201cnot a conventional royal documentary\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are no golden carriages here; no glittering crowns or crimson robes,\u201d the spokesman added.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead, this is a deeply personal exploration of ideas that have shaped His Majesty\u2019s life and work: the interconnectedness of all things, the wisdom of traditional knowledge, and the belief that we can build a future that works in partnership with nature rather than against it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The spokesman added that it \u201csets a new high watermark for royal documentaries\u201d.<\/p>\n

The film is believed to be the King\u2019s first documentary with a streaming platform.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex signed a deal with Amazon\u2019s rival Netflix, which led to the series Harry & Meghan, in which the couple laid bare their struggles with royal life.<\/p>\n

Amazon produced the series A Very Royal Scandal \u2013 a dramatised retelling of the King\u2019s brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor\u2019s disastrous Newsnight interview.<\/p>\n

Finding Harmony: A King\u2019s Vision will be released on February 6 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
