But he later learned that decision was a mistake that could have proven to be fatal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you have deep-vein thrombosis you could die at the wheel,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Gosselin, 48, is now taking a variety of medications \u2014 including heart meds, blood pressure meds, aspirin, and Eliquis, a prescription blood thinner that prevents blood clots \u2014 to treat his condition.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cI definitely could have died,\u201d he shared. \u201cIf I had just stayed home that night, I could have had a real pulmonary embolism and just died.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>After experiencing a coughing fit, Gosselin said he drove himself to the hospital. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/jongosselin1<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>He later learned that he could have \u201cdied at the wheel\u201d as a result. <span class=\"credit\">jongosselin1\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Gosselin married Lebo, 38, on Nov. 23, 2025, with two of his eight children present \u2014 son Collin and daughter Hannah, both 21.<\/p>\n<p>Jon shares sextuplets with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, which aside from Collin and Hannah, includes Alexis, Aaeden, Leah and Joel.
