As the Duchess of Gloucester attended a film premiere at Windsor
\nCastle, she chose a handbag in a Union Jack design.<\/p>\n
The Duchess was one of the royal guests at the first showing of
\na new Amazon Prime movie about Charles III\u2019s personal philosophy
\naround the environment and added the bag to her glamourous evening
\nlook.<\/p>\n
She wore a striking black blouse and pleated skirt for the
\nevent, accessorised with gold jewellery and the bag.<\/p>\n
And it\u2019s not the first time that the Duchess of Gloucester has
\nused fashion to fly the flag.<\/p>\n
The bag in question, by Jan Constantine, was first seen in May
\n2025 when the duchess chose it for an event marking 80 years since
\nVE Day. It was seen as a striking patriotic gesture as the
\ncommemorations unfolded.<\/p>\n
Later the same year, the Duchess of Gloucester also used the bag
\nduring the State Visit to the UK by the President of Germany.<\/p>\n
The bag is a Union Jack design on both sides while the front
\nalso features a large red heart in its centre.<\/p>\n
The Duchess of Gloucester, who was born in Denmark and who
\nmarried the current Duke of Gloucester in 1972, is noted for her
\nunderstated elegance.<\/p>\n
She flew the flag while the other royal guests at the premiere
\nchose to match their outfits to the theme.<\/p>\n
Queen Camilla wore a dark green velvet overcoat with a forest
\ngreen trouser suit for the debut of the film which has the
\nenvironment at its heart.<\/p>\n
The Duchess of Edinburgh attended in a dark green satin
\ndress.<\/p>\n
King Charles, meanwhile, had the most regal outfit of the night.
\nThe King chose to attend in Windsor dress, a uniform worn by male
\nmembers of the Royal Family inside the castle for over 200
\nyears.<\/p>\n
