That is, if you sit <strong>outside<\/strong> of the <strong>rap<\/strong> and <strong>hip-hop world<\/strong>. Moreover, this style is <strong>more consistent<\/strong> with <strong>EDM<\/strong> and early <strong>Soundcloud<\/strong> music. The production offers a gaudy subset of basic, borderline <strong>amateur<\/strong> production, while the lyrics are equally subpar; <strong>without sugarcoating it<\/strong>, the result is banal. If a family member played you this music as their own, you\u2019d likely raise an eyebrow or indulge them. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Dumb<\/em><\/strong> leans on the same audio aesthetic, with a vocal mix that is, frankly, irritatingly awful. Whether this trope is <strong>deliberate<\/strong>, he once again smashes it for impersonating an allegro version of D4nny\u2019s \u2018Goodbye\u2019. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Mr Chow<\/strong><\/em> is more of the same. Any hopes of improvement appear abandoned; instead of an upward trajectory, <strong>Fakemink<\/strong> excels in <strong>elaborate ways<\/strong> to <strong>misuse<\/strong> his equipment. The same goes for the subsequent track, <strong><em>The Mercer<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The last two tracks, <strong><em>Milk &amp; Honey<\/em><\/strong> and <em><strong>FML<\/strong><\/em>, confirm just how uninspired the entire experience of<strong><em> The Boy Who Cried Terrified <\/em><\/strong>is. There\u2019s little to gain from adding this to any playlist. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vocals are shoddily mixed, the bass is beginner at best, and it\u2019s an insult to call this an album, with seven tracks clocking in at a mere <strong>15 minutes<\/strong>. There\u2019s nothing more to say: it\u2019s another <strong>parody of rap music<\/strong>. It\u2019s rusty, lacklustre, and so rushed, it feels like someone pushed it through for the sake of it. <strong>Drake<\/strong> may have cosigned him, but he\u2019s been a lone wolf, clearly in need of allies. Take his opinion with a pinch of salt, because this is just hard to take seriously.
