Prime Video\u2019s latest series order is for a show called Sex Criminals \u2014 but it\u2019s not venturing into Law & Order: Svu territory.<\/p>\n

The Amazon-owned streamer has picked up an eight-episode show based on the acclaimed Image Comics<\/a> title Sex Criminals by Matt Fraction<\/a> and Chip Zdarsky<\/a>. Kumail Nanjiani<\/a>, Emily V. Gordon<\/a> (The Big Sick<\/a>) and Tze Chun<\/a> (Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai<\/a>) are co-creators of the series, and Nanjiani is also set for an acting role.<\/p>\n

Sex Criminals centers on Suze, \u201ca normal girl with an extraordinary ability: when she has sex, she stops time,\u201d the show\u2019s logline reads. \u201cOne night, she meets Jon, who has the same gift. And so they do what any other sex-having, time-stopping couple would do: They rob banks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nanjiani and Gordon will executive produce the show via their Winter Coat Films. Chun also exec produces, as do Winter Coat\u2019s Dani Melia<\/a>,…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
