Nancy Seltzer<\/a>, the Hollywood publicist who formerly represented Garth Brooks<\/a> and the late Sean Connery<\/a>, has died. She was 79.<\/p>\n

Seltzer died Thursday in Los Angeles. A cause of death was not given, though an announcement on Brooks\u2019 website noted that she died following a brief hospital stay.<\/p>\n

\u201cPublic relations is the hardest job in show business,\u201d Brooks shared in a statement. \u201cShe always handled every situation with the utmost class.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seltzer served as the longtime representative for \u201cThe Dance\u201d singer and Oscar winner, alongside author Danielle Steel<\/a>, opera singer Joyce Didonato<\/a> and Spanish opera singer Placido Domingo<\/a>. She represented a myriad of talent throughout her career, also including Whitney Houston<\/a>, Julia Roberts<\/a>, Bette Davis<\/a>, Nicole Kidman<\/a>, Johnny Depp<\/a>, Hugh Jackman<\/a>, Ian McKellen<\/a>, Ian McShane<\/a>, Stana Katic<\/a>, Annette Bening<\/a>, Kathy Bates<\/a> and Tom Wilkinson<\/a>.<\/p>\n
