\n\tBill Maher<\/a> told the newly-launched California Post<\/a> that Hollywood celebrities need to \u201cshut the fuck up\u201d when it comes to politics if the Democratic party wants to have even a shot at reclaiming the White House in future elections.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cHollywood [is] sort of the epicenter of the woke left. I don\u2019t think they\u2019re doing the Democratic Party any favors,\u201d the \u201cReal Time\u201d host\u00a0said. \u201cI think if Democrats want to win elections in the future, job one, tell the celebrities to \u2018Just shut the fuck up. You\u2019re not helping. You don\u2019t strike people in most of the country as sensible or in touch with reality.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tMaher is often outspoken against the Hollywood left, and he\u2019s previously blamed them for his continued awards losses in the industry. Maher\u2019s \u201cClub Random\u201d was a Golden Globe nominee this year for best podcast but lost to Amy Poehler\u2019s \u201cGood Hang.\u201d Prior to the ceremony, Maher predicted he would lose<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSweetheart, I\u2019ve been nominated for 33 Emmys, and they would never give it to me,\u201d Maher told his guest. \u201cThat\u2019s not a gag number. That\u2019s a real number. It\u2019s crazy\u2026 it\u2019s [because of] everything I said. I speak freely, and this woke town fucking hates that. And that\u2019s okay. I\u2019ve made my peace with that. So I know how this goes. This is not something I would ever \u2026 I have good standing. If I win this by some miracle, to go what people always say, \u2018I can\u2019t believe it, I\u2019m shocked.\u2019 I really should be shocked.\u201d<\/p>\n
