Longtime public relations expert Nancy Seltzer<\/a>, who worked with celebrity clients including Garth Brooks<\/a>, the late Sean Connery<\/a> and many more, died Wednesday in Los Angeles. She was 79.<\/p>\n

\u201cPublic relations is the hardest job in show business,\u201d Brooks said in a statement. \u201cShe always handled every situation with the utmost class.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the years she represented actors including Richard Burton<\/a> and Robert Downey Jr.<\/a> and musicians including Whitney Houston<\/a>. For many years, she was a constant presence as the head publicist on the Academy Awards red carpet.<\/p>\n
