Sundance<\/a> shined a light on Searchlight<\/a>\u2019s Little Miss Sunshine<\/a> Wednesday night by hosting what turned out be an electric 20th anniversary screening inside Park City\u2019s Eccles Theatre.<\/p>\n

And some of those rays fell on Paul Dano<\/a>, who made his first public appearance since Quentin Tarantino<\/a> shocked the internet by criticizing the actor\u2019s work in Paul Thomas Anderson<\/a>\u2019s There Will Be Blood<\/a>, opposite Daniel Day-Lewis<\/a>, by labeling him the \u201cflaw\u201d of the film and dissing Dano as \u201cweak sauce, man.\u201d In the weeks since, filmmakers, peers and countless fans have shown their support.<\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t until this week that the actor addressed it himself. During a Little Miss Sunshine<\/a> press event at Sundance ahead of the screening, Dano told Variety that fielding the love \u201cwas really nice,\u201d adding, \u201cI was also incredibly grateful that the world spoke up for me so I didn\u2019t have to.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
