More than 100 Latino creatives have signed an open letter to Hollywood after widespread controversy broke out over Odessa A\u2019zion<\/a>\u2019s casting in the A24<\/a> adaptation \u201cDeep Cuts<\/a>\u201d as the character Zoe Gutierrez. The letter asks decision-makers to increase Latino voices in development and greenlighting projects, as well as the amount of Latino actors in auditions and non-stereotypical leads.<\/p>\n

Among those signing the letter are Eva Longoria<\/a>, John Leguizamo<\/a>, Xochitl Gomez<\/a>, Danny Ramirez<\/a>, Gina Rodriguez<\/a>, Gloria Calderon Kellett<\/a> and Jessica Alba<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A\u2019zion dropped out of the movie on Wednesday, saying she had not yet read the book. \u201cI am with all of you and I am not doing this movie,\u201d she wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n
