Within each verse, the track introduces a new character of the McArthur family, with Jones and Hunter following for the final two verses as they explore the passage of time and share how it can shape a person\u2019s values and priorities, but it never erases the past. From the beginning lyrics, the land isn\u2019t just a property but a part of who they are.<\/p>\n

HARDY\u2019s verse focuses on Jones McArthur, who tries to teach his son the value of hard work and the importance of family history. However, in this moment, tensions arise as he notices his son\u2019s struggle choosing between tradition and money. Jones worries that everything he believes in could be sold or forgotten.<\/p>\n
