The Snuts<\/a> have dropped a new single called \u2018Summer Rain\u2019, which tackles themes including postnatal depression and \u201cfear of the future\u201d.<\/p>\n

The track marks the first new music from the Scottish band since 2024, and sees them kick off the new year by launching into a new chapter.<\/p>\n

\u2018Summer Rain\u2019 was written after the band went through a period of reconnecting with their hometown roots in West Lothian, and overcoming obstacles in their personal lives, which they then wanted to channel into the music.<\/p>\n

According to frontman Jack Cochrane, the song was written about the topic of postnatal depression, which is experienced by many people across the world, but rarely addressed in music.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wife was struggling really badly with postnatal depression,\u201d he shared. \u201cWe had a kid when the band had just released our third album and were on tour. That\u2019s way too much to be doing with a newborn.\u201d<\/p>\n
