(celebrity.land) \u2014 <\/b>Catherine O\u2019Hara, who starred in legendary films \u201cBeetlejuice\u201d and \u201cHome Alone\u201d before taking a star turn as Moira Rose on \u201cSchitt\u2019s Creek,\u201d has died. She was 71.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara\u2019s death was confirmed to celebrity.land by a staff member at the office of her manager Marc Gurvitz. The person declined to provide their name or further details.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara got her start at Second City in her native Canada, before turning to film. Her roles in \u201cBeetlejuice\u201d (1988) and \u201cHome Alone\u201d (1990) won wide acclaim<\/a>. Soon, she turned to collaborating with director Christopher Guest, starring in many of his iconic mockumentaries, including \u201cWaiting for Guffman\u201d (1996) and \u201cBest in Show\u201d (1996).<\/p>\n
