That\u2019s not to mention the Bandcamp-only releases by Colorado Springs femmecore five-piece <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/gunkpunkmusic.bandcamp.com\/track\/femicide\">Gunk!<\/a> and recently resurrected Denver punks <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/rxpunks.bandcamp.com\/album\/lab-rats\">Prescription<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So here are the best January releases by Colorado musicians:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: Thrash N Burn EP\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/3jmdGhrwbpzNK6dGMqXd0L?si=s1I09rigSEKx0osSYG-2oA&amp;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p><strong>Acid Sentence<\/strong><br \/><em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/3jmdGhrwbpzNK6dGMqXd0L?si=4tF83u-oQfe3No8vnlu6lg\">Thrash N Burn<\/a><\/em><br \/>Crack open a cold one before you start spinning <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/acidsentenceofficial\/?hl=en\">Acid Sentence<\/a>\u2019s debut EP, <em>Thrash N Burn<\/em>, released independently on January 22. The well-lubricated Denver party-thrashers are all about facilitating a good time, and the only other thing Acid Sentence loves more than suds is fast-as-fuck riffs. Mix those two together and you get such songs as <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/08y1FoMDqp8gjKTC8Z95ZJ?si=59715eb2de7b4af1\">\u201cBrewtal Decapitation,\u201d<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/5WCSr32PP3e1TUHM1exS7I?si=94e9e824195b47ef\">\u201cBeerzerker\u201d<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/5Jo0z21K9W6O39DjHZn18O?si=8a241813f8774596\">\u201cKegDozer.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The passion project of vocalist-guitarist Jorge \u201cMoose\u201d Lopez, Acid Sentence is known locally for playing pop-up shows out of the back of U-Haul trucks, especially if there\u2019s a metal show happening nearby. For example, on song <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/443oV3gYxOmcd8mcBe4Cvj?si=32795eec81004e68\">\u201cWhen the Ice Melts,\u201d<\/a> Lutze whispers, \u201cWhere will we be when the ice melts? The NoCo crew put out latest song, \u201cBorn of Fire,\u201d on January 25, and it crushes, chugging along in all its deathcore glory.<\/p>\n<p>While Degreaser is still a relative newbie to the local scene, its mission is clear. \u201cUnapologetic with our words we wish to enlighten the unaware minds to the pointless turning of their lives in a world on the verge of collapse,\u201d the band states. \u201cCorporate oppression, religious brainwashing, and general ignorance all plague our society.
