Jessie Ware<\/a> has announced her sixth studio album, \u2018Superbloom\u2019. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n The London singer-songwriter will release the project on April 10 via Island\/EMI, following on from 2023\u2019s \u2018That! Feels Good!\u2019<\/a>. You can pre-order\/pre-save it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ware shared the first single from the record, \u2018I Could Get Used To This\u2019<\/a>, last week. She described the glossy, classic pop song as \u201cthe opening statement of a new era\u201d. The vocalist also cited Grace Jones<\/a>,\u00a0Whitney Houston<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Barbra Streisand<\/a> as key influences.<\/p>\n According to a press release, the forthcoming \u2018Superbloom\u2019 finds Ware in a \u201cglittering rush of Studio 54-inflected groove-pop\u201d. The LP will build on Ware\u2019s \u201cincreasingly euphoric body of work as she explores our shared craving for touch, pleasure, intimacy and connection.\u201d<\/p>\n Ware explained: \u201cSince [2020\u2019s] \u2018What\u2019s Your Pleasure?\u2019<\/a>, I\u2019ve been trying out this fantasy world and escapism. I\u2019m not the most by-the-book \u2018pop star\u2019, but I do like to play with dress-up, glamour and fun.<\/p>\n \u201cWhile I love dance music, I wanted to dig deeper with this record; to connect with real relationships and appreciate the love I have, and the fears I have of losing it.\u201d<\/p>\n She worked on \u2018Superbloom\u2019 with James Ford<\/a>, as well as Barney Lister, Karma Kid, Jon Shave (Charli XCX<\/a>) and Stuart Price<\/a> (Madonna<\/a>, Pet Shop Boys<\/a>), while Ben Baptie (Sault<\/a>, Little Simz<\/a>, Adele<\/a>) mixed the album.<\/p>\n A tracklist has not yet been revealed.<\/p>\n In a previous statement, Ware said: \u201c\u2019I Could Get Used To This\u2019 is an invitation into the world of this album. I wanted to set the scene of the world that I\u2019m trying to paint in the album; romance, real love, performance, celebration and pleasure (always!) in a garden full of gods and goddesses.<\/p>\n \u201cI wrote this song with Miranda Cooper, Sophia Brenan and Jon Shave who are legends in British pop music.\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0always admired Miranda\u2019s work so\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0incredibly glad to have a record with her. First key change\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0ever done \u2013 I think \u2013 and exciting start to you hearing more from my work with Jon Shave and Barney Lister amongst the other fantastic collaborators on this project.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2018That! Feels Good!\u2019 earned Ware her second Mercury Prize<\/a> nomination, having previously been shortlisted for her debut \u2018Devotion\u2019<\/a> (2012). The former peaked at Number Three on the Official UK Albums Chart, and marked her highest-ever entry on the US Top Album Sales chart.<\/p>\n\n
