Springsteen released \u201cStreets of Minneapolis\u201d on Wednesday, blasting \u201cKing Trump<\/a>\u201d and the \u201cdirty lies\u201d of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem<\/a> and Trump immigration adviser Stephen Miller<\/a>. The administration painted Renee Good and Alex Pretti, the two citizens shot dead by federal officers, as instigators even though videos of the incidents told a different story. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe Trump Administration is focused on encouraging state and local Democrats<\/a> to work with federal law enforcement officers on removing dangerous criminal illegal aliens from their communities \u2014 not random songs with irrelevant opinions and inaccurate information,\u201d the White House said in a statement<\/a> issued by spokesperson<\/a> Abigail Jackson. \u201cThe media should cover how Democrats have refused to work with the Administration, and instead, opted to provide sanctuary for these criminal illegals.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Springsteen had already accused Immigration and Customs Enforcement of \u201cGestapo tactics<\/a>\u201d in its hunt for migrants and demanded that federal agents \u201cget the fuck out of Minneapolis.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n But this week the Boss did one of the things he does best \u2015 put his outrage into song:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Trump\u2019s federal thugs beat up on<\/em><\/p>\n His face and his chest<\/em><\/p>\n Then we heard the gunshots<\/em><\/p>\n And Alex Pretti lay in the snow, dead<\/em><\/p>\n Their claim was self-defense, sir<\/em><\/p>\n Just don\u2019t believe your eyes<\/em><\/p>\n It\u2019s our blood and bones<\/em><\/p>\n And these whistles and phones<\/em><\/p>\n Against Miller and Noem\u2019s dirty lies.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n
