No further details were shared.<\/p>\n O\u2019Hara is survived by her husband, Bo Welch<\/a>, and their two sons.<\/p>\n The star had many standout roles throughout her decades-long career, from Home Alone<\/em>\u2019s Kate McCallister to Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Moira Rose. She appeared in The Studio<\/em>, The Last of Us<\/em>, Beetlejuice <\/em>(and its 2024 sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice<\/em>), The Nightmare Before Christmas<\/em>, among many other TV and film projects.<\/a> She also famously collaborated with Christopher Guest on some of his most famous mockumentaries, including Waiting for Guffman<\/em>, Best in Show<\/em>, and A Mighty Wind<\/em>.<\/p>\n O\u2019Hara was born on March 4, 1954, and grew up in a suburb of Toronto. She was one of seven children in a large Irish Catholic family. Her older brother, Marcus, dated Gilda Radner, an original Saturday Night Live <\/em>cast member, who introduced O\u2019Hara to the world of professional improv at Second City Theater in Toronto.<\/p>\n O\u2019Hara initially worked as a waitress there after high school before auditioning and landing a spot in the troupe in 1974. \u201cImprov is just so freeing,\u201d she told ELLE Canada<\/a> in its September 2024 issue. \u201cAnd if you let go, everything feeds you\u2014every person, every character, and everything you\u2019ve ever experienced in your life.
