Bruce Springsteen<\/a> performed his new anti-ICE anthem, Streets of Minneapolis, at Minnesota<\/a>‘s National Shutdown protest on Friday.<\/p>\n The 76-year-old musician \u2014 whose 1984 track\u00a0Born in the USA was censored in the UK<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 released his latest song on Wednesday, following the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).<\/p>\n He sang the song live for the first time at a benefit concert called Defend Minnesota!,\u00a0 held at First Avenue, according to NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n Rage Against the Machine’s\u00a0Tom Morello shared a flier for the event via Instagram on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n Announcing his protest sing this week, Springsteen wrote on Instagram, ‘I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘It\u2019s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.’\u00a0<\/p>\n Bruce Springsteen performed his new anti-ICE anthem, Streets of Minneapolis, at Minnesota’s National Shutdown protest on Friday<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The 76-year-old musician released his new song on Wednesday, following the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); pictured in October 2025<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He signed off, ‘Stay free, Bruce Springsteen.’\u00a0<\/p>\n The official audio for Streets of Minneapolis has so far been viewed on YouTube more than 4.6 million times.<\/p>\n And Springsteen’s Instagram post announcing the new music has over 310,000 likes from his 2.1 million followers.\u00a0<\/p>\n Morello wrote online earlier this week, ‘We are coming to Minneapolis where the people have heroically stood up against ICE, stood up against Trump, stood up against this terrible rising tide of state terror.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘Where the people have stood up for their neighbors and themselves, for democracy and justice.
