David Bowie <\/strong>once shut down an entire movie production\u2014and actually had no idea.<\/p>\n The late musician, who passed away in 2016, was minding his business while walking through New York City when inadvertently forced filming to stop, according to one of the movie’s stars.<\/p>\n During an appearance on The Tonight Show<\/a><\/em> on Thursday (Jan. 29), actor Patrick Dempsey <\/strong>revealed that while he was filming Enchanted<\/em> in Central Park with Amy Adams<\/strong>, Bowie completely crashed the set.<\/p>\n \ud83c\udfac\u00a0<\/strong>SIGN UP for Parade\u2019s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\ud83c\udfac\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n “We shot in Central Park. Great story in Central Park. But we were in the middle of this shot and we’re getting ready in between takes. And, lo and behold, David Bowie walks right between [us],” Dempsey shared on the show.<\/p>\n He continued, “He’s wearing denim, and you’re like, ‘Oh, my God. That’s David Bowie.’ The entire production shut down. He was like floating through the park…He just walked straight by me. He just walked, didn’t say anything.”<\/p>\n Dempsey called the experience “a great New York moment” and added he thinks of it every time he’s in Central Park.<\/p>\n “We were like, ‘Oh, my God. David Bowie,'” Dempsey concluded. “He was the coolest.”<\/p>\n Besides the interruption from Bowie, filming in Central Park was no easy task. Director Kevin Lima once told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em> that it took weeks to film the musical number for “That\u2019s How You Know” in the park.<\/p>\n “It has 300 extras and 150 dancers. It was shot over seven days and it took us 17 days to get seven days of sun. So we were back and forth constantly,” Lima said. “It was gigantic. We shot it all through Central Park and we had to move through the park like this military operation.”<\/p>\n He continued, “The other thing we had to deal with was Patrick Dempsey\u2019s fans. He can\u2019t go anywhere in public without his fans just going crazy. There were a multitude of times where we had to ask them, \u2018Please, please be quiet.
