VREID<\/strong> have released a new music video!<\/p>\n The new single, Kraken<\/strong>, arrives as the official soundtrack to Nordisk Film<\/strong>\u2019s upcoming feature of the same name. Rooted in the band\u2019s signature Sognametal sound, the instrumental track channels ancient myth, blackened atmospheres and the looming awakening at the core of the film\u2019s narrative. The new single is taken from the band\u2019s upcoming new album,\u00a0The Skies Turn Black<\/strong><\/a>, which is scheduled to be released in March this year, via\u00a0Indie Recordings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Speaking about the collaboration, producer Einar<\/strong> Loftesnes<\/strong> says, \u201cthe song that Kv\u00e5le<\/strong> has written for this movie is the quintessential soundtrack of Sogn. This VREID <\/b>song captures the essence of Sognametal, the Kraken legend and creates the perfect sonic landscape of the dark nature where both elements originated and have blended together.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Songwriter Jarle Kv\u00e5le<\/strong> adds, \u201cgrowing up by the Sognefjord at times felt like growing up in a David<\/strong> Lynch<\/strong> world. Einar has taken that atmosphere through his many projects and wrapped Sogn into that world.
