Actress Catherine O’Hara<\/a><\/strong> sadly passed away in late January 2026 following a \u201cbrief illness,\u201d<\/a> according to previous reports. Although best known for her role in \u201cHome Alone,\u201d her last appearance was in the Emmy-award-winning comedy \u201cThe Studio.\u201d Although she had a substantial role in season 1, sources have indicated that she backed out of the show\u2019s second season for \u201cpersonal\u201d reasons.<\/p>\n On Friday, \u201cThe Studio\u201d co-creator, producer, and co-director Seth Rogen<\/strong><\/a> paid a thoughtful tribute to his late costar.<\/p>\n “Really don\u2019t know what to say\u2026 I told O’Hara when I first met her, I thought she was the funniest person I’d ever had the pleasure of watching on screen,” he wrote on Instagram<\/a> on January 30. “Home Alone<\/em>\u00a0was the movie that made me want to make movies.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cGetting to work with her was a true honour. She was hysterical, kind, intuitive, generous\u2026 she made me want to make our show good enough to be worthy of her presence in it,\u201d he continued. \u201cThis is just devastating. So profoundly sad she’s somewhere else now,” he wrote. “So incredibly grateful I got to spend the time I did with her. Thank you, Catherine.
