A documentary on Noah Kahan<\/a>\u2018s breakthrough success with Stick Season<\/em> is coming to Netflix.<\/p>\n The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em> reveals the still-untitled film \u2014 first announced<\/a> in June \u2014 has officially landed with the streamer as of Saturday (Jan. 31). Its release date has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Directed by Nick Sweeney, the movie documents Kahan\u2019s life following the debut of his 2022 hit album, which featured singles \u201cStick Season,\u201d \u201cNorthern Attitude\u201d and \u201cDial Drunk.\u201d It\u2019ll cover Kahan on tour, working on new music and \u201creturning to his rural Vermont roots and family as he navigates deeply personal struggles,\u201d according to THR<\/em>.<\/p>\n Stick Season<\/em> rose to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in 2024. Kahan earned his first Top 10 single on the Hot 100 with the set\u2019s title track, as well as a Grammy nomination for best new artist that year.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we started filming, I had no idea what we\u2019d capture, only that Noah was determined to be honest about everything, especially the messy bits,\u201d director Sweeney said in a statement published on Saturday. \u201cHe was in a strange in-between moment, caught in the collision between almost surreal fame and a quieter inner world he\u2019d tried to keep offstage. What we captured over the course of a year surprised me: moments that were thrilling, terrifying, hilarious \u2026 often all at once. I\u2019m so excited to partner with Netflix to invite viewers worldwide into Noah Kahan\u2019s head as his world shifts beneath his feet.\u201d<\/p>\n The doc will stream on Netflix via RadicalMedia,\u00a0Live Nation\u00a0Studios, Polygram Entertainment and Federal Films. Samantha Mustari, Dave Sirulnick, Stacey Reiss, Ryan Kroft, Vaughn Trudeau, Anna Keegan, David Blackman, Jeff Ludwig and Devon Libran are credited as producers. Executive producers include Drew Simmons, Ryan Langlois, Michael Rapino, Jessica James Batista, Michael Yerke, Alex Maxwell, Monte Lipman, Jeffrey Remedios, Ben Adelson, Alex Coslov, Jon Kamen and Karla Zambrano.<\/p>\n Kahan recently announced the release date for his next album, The Great Divide<\/em>. The LP arrives on April 24.
