The Traitors Ireland<\/a> star Paudie Moloney has responded to BBC viewers in the UK complaining the Irish version of the show has \u201ctoo much cursing\u201d.<\/p>\nThe inaugural season of the hit reality show aired in Ireland back in August and has recently started airing on BBC One<\/a> in the UK, opening up Paudie and his fellow cast members to a whole new host of viewers.<\/p>\nHowever, some people have taken to social media to point out and complain that there is much more cursing in comparison to its UK counterpart.<\/p>\n
Paudie has met many fans from the show in Ireland and says this has never been brought up to him.<\/p>\n
He told RSVP Live: \u201cYou are in that castle, and you do forget the cameras are there.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know the odd f word and I\u2019m well able to use it.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be honest, I haven\u2019t heard one person ever [complain about it]. And I\u2019ve met a lot of fans here in Ireland.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery person has said to me, \u2018I really enjoyed Traitors\u2019, and how it has brought younger and older people together \u2013 parents sitting down with their adult children to watch it.<\/p>\n
\u201cNever once did they ever mention there was a lot of cursing in it.\u201d<\/p>\n
When asked if it\u2019s because people in the UK don\u2019t curse on television as much, Paudie responded: \u201cI don\u2019t know, to be honest, because I don\u2019t live over there.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I do know is that in this country, it\u2019s probably part of our culture maybe? I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n
Paudie is aware he is currently on TV in the UK but hasn\u2019t paid too much attention to people\u2019s reactions as he is busy with Dancing With The Stars rehearsals.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is some bit of a difference in the Instagram,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut am I looking to see? I\u2019m not. I\u2019ve a very hectic schedule with the dancing.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, he made time to watch the most recent UK series, which finished on BBC earlier this month and saw Co. Down woman Rachel Duffy win as a Traitor<\/a> with Stephen Libby.<\/p>\n\u201cI absolutely did see the series, I was thrilled with the finish,\u201d Paudie said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it was excellent.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have to say I admire Stephen and Rachel because they didn\u2019t turn on each other.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a really brilliant finish to an absolutely excellent series.\u201d<\/p>\n
Paudie has been supported by his Traitors castmates during his Dancing With The Stars journey.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cAbsolutely, I\u2019ve had great contact with a lot of them through WhatsApp and Instagram.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne man sent me a bill for all of the votes he gave me, so yes, they have been voting for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tonight on Dancing With The Stars it\u2019s Dedicated Dance Week<\/a>.<\/p>\nThe remaining nine celebrities will dedicate their performances to a special person, or people, in their lives.<\/p>\n
No one will be eliminated and the contestant who tops the public vote combined with the judges scores will gain immunity from the first dance-off the following week.<\/p>\n
There will also be a special tribute paid to former judge Julian Benson, who passed away last April.<\/p>\n
Paudie will dedicate his dance to his ten grandchildren, and dance a jive to Jailhouse Rock as a nod to his former career as a prison officer.<\/p>\n
When asked what it means to be in Dedicated Dance Week, Paudie said: \u201cIt\u2019s massive, to be honest.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I came into this show I had no expectations of myself, so I\u2019m thrilled to have stayed as long as I have.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully I can stay a bit longer, but obviously that is up to the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to dedicating a dance to my grandkids.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe oldest is 26 this year, so they have been a part of my life for a long, long time.<\/p>\n
