Taylor Swift had one of the biggest album releases of the year with The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>. Still, when Grammy nominations were announced<\/a> in November for the 2026 ceremony, Swift wasn\u2019t anywhere on the list.<\/p>\n

So was the artist\u2019s latest album completely snubbed? Not at all\u2014it just isn\u2019t eligible for tonight\u2019s ceremony. Swift released The Life of a Showgirl <\/em>on Oct. 3, 2025. The eligibility period for the 2026 awards covers works released<\/a> between Aug. 31, 2024 to Aug. 30, 2025. The Life of a Showgirl <\/em>can still be submitted for the 2027 Grammys, though (where the period is Aug. 31, 2025 to Aug. 30, 2026).<\/p>\n

ELLE understands Swift won\u2019t be at the 2026 Grammys<\/a> tonight. Grammys executive producer Ben Winston shut down rumors of her making a show appearance earlier this week in an interview with Hits<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThe only reason people think Taylor might be performing or coming is because Hits <\/em>decided to print it this week and put it in their Hits <\/em>List, and it was picked up globally,\u201d he said. \u201cBut Hits <\/em>just totally made that up. And now I am getting asked about it by you, as if it\u2019s a real thing, when it was made up in your office! That really is a full-circle rumor!\u201d<\/p>\n

At the 2025 show, she was a presenter<\/a>, ultimately giving Beyonc\u00e9 the Best Country Award. While she was nominated for The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>, she did not win<\/a> any awards.<\/p>\n

For the moment, however, Swift has been enjoying a well-deserved break after releasing her Disney+ documentary series<\/a> The End of an Era <\/em>in December. A source recently told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>, \u201cTaylor\u2019s happy, grounded, and fully focused on her life with Travis [Kelce, her fianc\u00e9]. Right now, she\u2019s prioritizing everything positive and exciting happening in her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

In December, a source told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>, Swift \u201calways has ideas percolating\u201d for her music career but isn\u2019t imminently going on tour for The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>. \u201cThere have been ideas floated, but right now she is enjoying her break.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider added that she and Kelce have been planning their wedding together: \u201cTaylor thinks it\u2019s cute [he\u2019s involved], and it\u2019s something they have been bonding over.\u201d<\/p>\n

During an early October appearance on BBC Radio 1, Swift confirmed<\/a> she isn\u2019t feeling any \u201citch\u201d to tour again. \u201cI am going to be really honest with you,\u201d she told host Greg James. \u201cI am so tired when I think about doing it again because I\u2019d want to do it really well again.\u201d<\/p>\n
