The cast of Apple TV\u2019s The Studio <\/i><\/a>has reportedly withdrawn from the network\u2019s highly-anticipated press day.<\/p>\n

Deadline<\/a> reported on Saturday, January 31, that The Studio <\/i>team will no longer attend Apple TV\u2019s press day on Tuesday, February 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are all heartbroken by the loss of Catherine O\u2019Hara,\u201d Apple and Lionsgate wrote in a joint statement shared by the outlet. \u201cAn undeniable legend, icon, and incomparable talent, Catherine elevated every project she was a part of, including the singular genius she brought to her role on The Studio<\/i>, and every transcendent performance she gifted to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement concluded, \u201cHer artistic accomplishments will forever bring humor, light, and love for generations to come, and her brilliance and generosity of spirit touched everyone around her. We will hold her in our hearts, always.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara died on Friday, January 30, at her home in Los Angeles \u201cfollowing a brief illness,\u201d according to a statement from her agency, Creative Artists Agency. Seth Rogen<\/strong> and his The Studio <\/i>costars Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn<\/strong> and Chase Sui Wonders<\/strong> were scheduled to participate in the streamer\u2019s panel for the show on Tuesday. According to Deadline, O\u2019Hara was not initially scheduled to attend.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/i>confirmed on Friday, January 30, that O\u2019Hara died following an undisclosed illness<\/a> and brief hospitalization.<\/p>\n

\u201cProlific multi-award-winning actress, writer and comedian Catherine O\u2019Hara died today at her home in Los Angeles following a brief illness,\u201d O\u2019Hara\u2019s agency, Creative Artists Agency, wrote in a statement to Us<\/i>. \u201cA private celebration of life will be held by the family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amongst her most beloved film and TV roles, O\u2019Hara recently starred as Patty Leigh on the debut seasons of The Studio. <\/i>The show, created by 43-year-old Rogen, follows the new studio head of the fictional Continental Studio as he tries to keep the company profitable.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara won the Emmy<\/a> for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series at the September 2025 awards ceremony, which was one of her last public appearances before her death. That same month, O\u2019Hara also took home the Norman Jewison Career Achievement Award at the TIFF Tribute Awards.<\/p>\n

\u201cDarling Eugene, when I think of my happiest days in this adventure and show business, I realize most of them have been with you,\u201d O\u2019Hara said, referring to her Schitt\u2019s Creek <\/i>costar Eugene Levy<\/strong>, who presented the trophy. \u201cI thought I knew Norman Jewison<\/strong>, not personally unfortunately, but as a great Canadian. [He was an] internationally respected filmmaker who gave us so much beautiful, great work to enjoy forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara went on and shared her \u201cconnection\u201d to Jewison, who died in July 2024 at the age of 97.<\/p>\n

\u201cNorman Jewison was born in Toronto, as was I. Norman Jewison trained early on with the CBS, as did I,\u201d she said. \u201cHe directed several episodes of the Wayne and Schuster Show<\/i>, and many years later, I was in one sketch on the Wayne and Schuster Show. <\/i>Norman Jewison loved to laugh, he said, \u2018Not a day could go by without him laughing hysterically about something.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
