After attending the Critics Choice Awards<\/a> and Golden Globes<\/a>, Ariana Grande is spending the evening out of the spotlight. ELLE understands she will not be at tonight\u2019s Grammys ceremony. The star hasn\u2019t posted on social media today and has not addressed her Grammys plans.<\/p>\n

However, she and her Wicked <\/em>co-star Cynthia Erivo<\/a> added to their Grammy collections tonight. They won Best Pop Duo\/Group Performance for \u201cDefying Gravity,\u201d which was announced<\/a> during the Grammys preshow. It was Grande\u2019s sole nomination<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n

The Eternal Sunshine <\/em>singer skipped last year\u2019s ceremony<\/a> too, where she had three nominations. That year, she was nominated for Best Pop Duo\/Group Performance (\u201cThe Boy Is Mine\u201d with Brandy and Monica), Best Pop Vocal Album (Eternal Sunshine<\/em>), and Best Dance Pop Recording (\u201cYes, And?\u201d)<\/p>\n

However, many believed she was snubbed<\/a> as Eternal Sunshine <\/em>was excluded from the show\u2019s biggest categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.<\/p>\n

When 2026 nominations were announced, fans expressed disappointment that Grande\u2019s Eternal Sunshine: Brighter Days Ahead <\/em>didn\u2019t receive any nominations<\/a>. Her \u201cBrighter Days Ahead<\/a>\u201d had recently won<\/a> Video of the Year, Best Pop Song, and Best Long Form Video at the MTV VMAs.<\/p>\n

Grande is booked and busy, though: Focker In-Law <\/em>comes out<\/a> in November, she is starring in the 13th season of American Horror Story<\/em><\/a>, her tour<\/a> starts in June, and she\u2019ll be performing<\/a> alongside Jonathan Bailey in Sunday in the Park With George <\/em>on West End in summer 2027.<\/p>\n
