Grammys<\/a> host Trevor Noah<\/a> made a mockery of CBS<\/a> and its parent company Paramount<\/a> during the network\u2019s broadcast of the ceremony on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The former \u201cDaily Show\u201d host \u2014 who used this year\u2019s award show to bash Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s Greenland takeover talk and his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, among others<\/a> \u2014 evoked the president again to remind viewers that the broadcast was \u201ccompletely live.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cBecause if we edited any of this show, the president would sue CBS for $16 billion,\u201d quipped the comedian in reference to Paramount settling Trump\u2019s lawsuit against \u201c60 Minutes\u201d over a 2024 episode with then-Vice President Kamala Harris<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The lawsuit, widely seen as frivolous by First Amendment advocates, alleged that CBS News had deceptively edited the interview with Harris to make the then-veep look good.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Paramount\u2019s $16 million settlement notably arrived ahead of the company\u2019s merger with Skydance, a move that required approval from the administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n CBS News has since faced backlash over its rightward tilt under Paramount CEO (and Trump ally) David Ellison, as well as Bari Weiss, the conservative journalist who was recently installed as the news division\u2019s editor-in-chief.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Noah\u2019s on-air dig arrives just weeks after Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser used CBS\u2019 broadcast<\/a> of the ceremony to put its news division on blast over its shock decision<\/a> to pull a \u201c60 Minutes\u201d segment off the air that was critical of the Trump administration and its mass deportation agenda.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe award for most editing goes to CBS News,\u201d Glaser joked.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cYes.
