\n\tThe Marias<\/a> kicked off a star-studded best new artist performance block at the 2026 Grammys<\/a>. The show showcased all the rising artists in the famed category. The alt band played their hit song, \u201cNo One Noticed,\u201d enchanting the crowd with a much more mellow vibe than the performances that came before them.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 2026 best new artist category proved to be stacked. This year\u2019s crop of best new artist hopefuls include The Marias, Addison Rae<\/a>, KATSEYE<\/a>, Leon Thomas<\/a>, Alex Warren<\/a>, Lola Young, Olivia Dean<\/a> and Sombr. Host Trevor Noah touted during the performance medley that between all of the artists, they had more than 27 billion combined streams last year. <\/p>\n

\n\tRae followed up The Marias, coming to L.A.\u2019s Crypto.com Arena<\/a> on the back of a box truck. Decked out in an extravagant, bedazzled purple trench coat, Rae performed her song \u201cFame is a Gun\u201d in the backstage area of the arena. She was joined by several dancers before ditching the coat to reveal her now quintessential bra and skirt combination.<\/p>\n

\n\tRae\u2019s performance bled right into girl group Katseye\u2019s performance of \u201cGnarly,\u201d which took the six-member group from the backstage area to the Grammy stage. The girl group wore coordinated green, yellow and black outfits to perform the hyperpop hit. The performance featured a dance break, showcasing the group\u2019s impressive dance abilities. <\/p>\n

\n\tThomas grabbed a guitar and took the stage for a performance of his song, \u201cMutt.\u201d He had the crowd up on their feet singing along. <\/p>\n

\n\tWarren started his Grammy rendition of his chart-topping hit \u201cOrdinary\u201d in the arena\u2019s concession area. He made his to the stage through the crowd, belting out his song as he went. <\/p>\n

\n\tYoung made her stage return with a piano arrangement of her viral hit, \u201cMessy.\u201d This is the British singer\u2019s first television appearance since she took a performing break after collapsing onstage at music<\/a> festival in September. <\/p>\n

\n\tDean, who ended up winning the category, took to the stage in a sparkling red dress for a performance of \u201cMan I Need.\u201d The crowd audibly cheered as Dean was revealed. The groovy performance providing a good look as to why Dean is one of the most popular singers of the moment. <\/p>\n

\n\tSombr, the 20-year-old alt-singer, closed out the performance medley with his hit song \u201c12 to 12.\u201d The singer stepped out in a silver, jeweled open suit ensemble. He took to the crowd to sing and dance with attendees, running to rapper Doechii to twirl her around before jamming out with Queen Latifah. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
