Musicians and other celebrities took the stage on Sunday night at the 68th annual Grammy<\/a> Awards in Los Angeles, California. The event is traditionally hailed as \u201cmusic\u2019s biggest night,\u201d honoring the year\u2019s top musicians. As was the case at last month\u2019s Golden Globe Awards, celebrities criticized Immigration and Customs Enforcement<\/a>, illegal immigration enforcement operations, and President Donald Trump<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Former The Daily Show host and comedian Trevor Noah hosted the event for the sixth and final time. He took several jabs at Trump during the evening, including an unflattering impersonation of the president. Noah also took shots at hip-hop artist Nicki Minaj for being an ally of Trump\u2019s and appearing with him at the White House last week.<\/p>\n \u201cNicki Minaj is not here,\u201d Noah said. \u201cShe is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues.\u201d<\/p>\n Other celebrities made comments critical of illegal immigration enforcement operations, including the musician Bad Bunny, who won \u201calbum of the year\u201d and is the headline performer at the Super Bowl 60 halftime show next Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cBefore I say thanks to God, I\u2019m going to say, \u2018ICE out,’\u201d Bad Bunny said during his acceptance speech for best m\u00fasica urbana album. \u201cWe\u2019re not savage. We\u2019re not animals. We\u2019re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n Singer Olivia Dean echoed Bad Bunny\u2019s sentiments, citing her immigrant lineage in a rebuke of illegal immigration enforcement operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m up here as a granddaughter of an immigrant,\u201d Dean said during her acceptance speech for Best New Artist. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be here \u2013 I\u2019m a product of bravery, and I think those people need to be celebrated. So ya, we\u2019re nothing without each other.\u201d<\/p>\n Singer Billie Eilish also made comments critical of illegal immigration<\/a> enforcement after winning an award.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cNo one is illegal on stolen land,\u201d Eilish said. \u201cIt\u2019s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now, and I just, I feel really hopeful in this room.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting and our voices really do matter, and the people matter,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n Eilish and her brother, Finneas, also wore pins that read \u201cICE OUT.\u201d They were joined by other celebrities wearing the pins<\/a> to voice their objections to ICE, including Justin Bieber, Samara Joy, Kehlani, Lachi, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, and Teddy Swims also wore the pins.<\/p>\n
