A variety of familiar faces will take the stage in the Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge: All Stars on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. at Rome City Auditorium. All proceeds raised by this event will benefit the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia.<\/p>\n

Modeled after the popular TV show \u201cDancing With the Stars,\u201d the Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge will feature performances by 12 celebrity teams, with styles ranging from hip hop to ballroom and everything in between:<\/p>\n

- 2019 Judges\u2019 Choice winner Lewis Byrne<\/strong> of Berry College Elementary & Middle School dancing with Lee Morris <\/strong>of The Dance Centre<\/li>\n
- 2023 contestant LaDonna Collins<\/strong> of Georgia CASA dancing with her husband, Eric Collins<\/strong>, of Georgia Highlands College with choreography assistance from Consuelo Saxton of Rome Middle School<\/li>\n
- 2024 People\u2019s Choice winner Dr. John Cowan<\/strong> of AdventHealth Redmond dancing with Dicie Waters<\/strong> of The Dance Centre and Alto Park Elementary School<\/li>\n
- 2015 contestant Dr. Ryan Cox<\/strong> of Ryan Cox Orthodontics dancing with his wife, Amy Cox<\/strong>, a stay-at-home mom and community volunteer, with choreography assistance from Hannah Camacho<\/strong> of The Dance Centre and Baird Ballet<\/li>\n
- 2013 People\u2019s Choice winner Ali Freeman<\/strong>, a stay-at-home mom and community volunteer, dancing with Adolfo Chacon<\/strong> of Chacon Quality Paint with choreography assistance from Lee Morris<\/strong> of The Dance Centre<\/li>\n
- 2023 contestant Dr. Dixon Freeman<\/strong> of the Medical College of Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond dancing with Alexis Tyson<\/strong> of Rome High School<\/li>\n
- 2018 contestant Dr. Kristen Leezer<\/strong> of Atrium Health Floyd Northwest Georgia Medical Clinic dancing with Payton Campbell<\/strong> of Atlanta Cycling<\/li>\n
- 2016 People\u2019s Choice and Judges\u2019 Choice winner Danny Price<\/strong> of Berry College dancing with Maggie Grace Brinson<\/strong>, a student at the University of Georgia<\/li>\n
- 2023 Judges\u2019 Choice winner Megan Treglown<\/strong> of MegTreg Collective dancing with 2024 Judges\u2019 Choice runner up Shaylan Johnson<\/strong> of Blooming Oak Photography Studios\u00a0<\/li>\n
- 2024 contestant Jeff Sherwin<\/strong> of Lulie\u2019s Riverside Gourmet dancing with JoAnna Parker <\/strong>of The Dance Centre and Elm Street Elementary School\u00a0<\/li>\n
- 2018 contestant Cindy Taylor<\/strong> of Salon Ten 17 and The Wig Chix dancing with Chase Tolbert<\/strong> of Dempsey Auction Co.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Teams compete for the Judges\u2019 Choice Award, to be determined by a panel of judges, and the People\u2019s Choice Award, which is determined by community support in the form of funds donated. \u201cThe Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia, which provides critical services to four counties in our region, has seen a substantial 42.3% increase in services since 2020, with a 43.6% increase in pediatric and adolescent services,\u201d said Oliver Robbins, president of the Board of Directors. \u201cBy simply attending this event, you are making a contribution to a very worthwhile cause and helping us raise awareness in our community. The Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge, which will be celebrating its 13th show, has raised more than $1.68 million for the Sexual Assault Center since 2011.<\/p>\n
